When: June 23rd; Where: Bayou St. John; During this day, the great spirit of Marie Laveau is celebrated. A New Orleans Priestess and icon, she is made an alter by the banks of Bayou St. John in New Orleans. She was known for her own St John's Eve celebration, which is a connection to those who celebrate the northern hemisphere summer solstice. This is a great moment to experience the esotericism that New Orleans brings in a June summer night by the banks of a famous bayou.
